Fuel storage, construction power and utility work deepen 606 mobilization

The newest filing on the Onni 606 parcel is a narrow but telling piece of jobsite infrastructure. Permit 26-116729-FR, applied July 13 and listed as Open on July 14, covers "Fuel Cube Storage for Heavy Equipment." The record does not state the cube's capacity or authorize the mass excavation; it shows only that fuel storage for the machinery now working the block has entered Bellevue's permit ledger.

The project's much larger temporary-power filing has also advanced. Permit 26-114797-BG, applied June 26, covers one 2,500-amp and one 4,000-amp, 480-volt three-phase service from the Puget Sound Energy transformers, plus a power skid for site lights, tools and a portable office. Its electrical review was approved July 7 and the permit now reads Ready to Issue — Bellevue's term for an approved construction permit awaiting contractor-license information and issuance fees. It has not yet been issued.

A separate right-of-way permit, 26-114882-TJ, was issued July 13 after a July 9 approval. Comcast proposes to access two vaults and relocate one splice case on the parcel. The filing does not say that Onni requested the move or identify it as a prerequisite for excavation, so it is best read as adjacent utility-coordination work rather than a confirmed critical-path milestone.

The critical permit boundary has not moved. Mass-excavation and shoring permit 21-134212-BV remains Pending after its structural and geotechnical reviewers requested another revision July 10 concerning a geotechnical letter. The separate below-grade structure permit, 24-104362-BB, is also Pending, with structural review open and fire review in progress. A June 5 demolition preconstruction note instructed the contractor not to begin excavation or shoring until the applicable permits are issued and their preconstruction conferences completed.

The proposed hotel-and-office reshuffle made a smaller procedural step on July 14. Transportation's second review under concurrency record 26-108760-DC closed after a June 30 correction request concerning how the retail, restaurant and fitness uses were grouped for trip generation. The record itself remains Pending, as does land-use application 26-106943-LJ, which would move the hotel from Tower 1 to Tower 3. A closed review line is progress inside the file, not approval of the reconfiguration.

Together, the records sharpen the distinction visible on the construction camera. Onni 606 is an active early-works site: crews are stripping slab while power, fuel and nearby utility arrangements assemble around them. The full five-level garage excavation remains the next phase, and the public record still places that phase behind the unissued shoring and below-grade permits.
